Build a Foundation for your Miracle
I’ve seen a principle play out in the negative: If a person is told she is worthless long enough, it’s just a matter of time until she believes it. Once she believes it, she becomes it. If we’re not careful to guard our thoughts, we can unknowingly bring curses into our lives.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he Proverbs 23:7 KJV
I’ve come to see that faith works the exact same
way in the positive.
If we tell ourselves that we can do something long
enough, eventually we will be able to do it.
If we tell ourselves that we have something long
enough, eventually we will have it. Faith is believing before we see physical
evidence.
What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive
them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 KJV
blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John
20:29 KJV
things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11:3 KJV
Let’s look at the famous faith verse from Hebrews
11:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJV
The word “Faith” from this verse is Strongs
4102. It means “persuasion …
conviction… constancy in such profession… assurance, belief, believe, faith,
fidelity.”1
The word “substance” is Strongs 5287. It means “a
setting or placing under; thing put under, substructure, foundation… that which
has foundation, is firm.”2
Based on these definitions, we can see that our belief
and our profession of that belief builds a foundation for the physical
manifestation of the thing we are hoping for.
